Never be afraid to ask for and/or accept help from another. Being able to admit that you don’t know something, opens the door for you to be able to learn. Learning more oft than not, can be achieved through interpersonal communications. Humility doesn’t denote weakness, but the presence of growth. Have you had any conversations today..?

Working hard most assuredly gets you where you want to go, but playing hard is preventative maintenance for the stressed soul. Take some “me” time every now and then to recharge the mind, rest the body and rekindle the fire that burns within. After all, if you burn out, where will you be then..?

Take ownership of your rights and your wrongs. Finding a scapegoat when things go awry does not foster growth. learning doesn’t stop in the classroom, but continues through the school of life. A lesson learned through life, is wisdom gained. Grow wise beyond your years.

Time is relevant, continuous and non-regenerative. To you, watching a movie may be nothing, to the person next to you, it means the world. Stop watching the ticks on the clock, and watch the smiles you bring during the time you spend. After all, isn’t that investment worth something too.

There are many bumps on the road life. Obstacles will often appear in your path that would seem to discourage you. Prepare for the unknown by accepting that sh*t happens, and knowing that your convictions will pull you through. You’ll be surprised at the changes a ‘can do attitude’ will bring.

The Road To Me…

Man seeks to attain the unattainable. In his quest he passes up the sure thing, the good thing, in search of the long shot. Never settling, always searching. Overlooking needs for wants. The human heart fills with a passion that cannot be defined. With arms wide open we embrace our present, only to later shun it for the future. Happiness is bittersweet, fleeting at best. The eternal glory must first be found within self, and then shared with others. Live not for today, but for yesterday and tomorrow as well. We got to where we are from where we were at. We therefore must know where we are, to get to where we are going.

Today we celebrate the day the pilgrims wielded their weapons and scoured indian territory for food and nourishment to sustain themselves. Killing fowl aplenty (duck and turkey included), defensive indians reacted to the intrusion, and were thus invited to stay, as an afterthought. Teaching their new “friends” their survival techniques and foraging skills, the indians extended the first gesture of true friendship. Though sadly enough, in the end the lands and woman were raped and plundered, and the indian peoples who weren’t put to work, were left to fend for themselves. Although, when all is said and done, it’s neither here nor there when referencing “thanksgiving” for the true first iteration of the day happened several decades later, in a commoners home with family and friends. But hey, your day, your belief. So happy day everyone. Eat well, reflect, remember, revisit and enjoy.

“The point is, not how long you live, but how nobly you live.”

What is the use of the long lived life, should that life lack meaning and purpose. Thought without reflection, and action without right reason will nay constitute virtue. Live well and you shall live well. Live long through nobility, and you shall be virtuous.
